He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Freeman and Edith Freeman (Comstock); his sister Janese Hinojosa; and his siblings-in-law, Louise Freeman and Pat Brenner.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his children, Aron Freeman, Courtney Miller (Brad), Isaac Freeman (Lindsay), Chloe Freeman and Katlin Geiser (Alex); his grandchildren, McKenzie Jensen (Braeden), Lakota Miller, Noah, Leo, Natalie and Roman Geiser; his great grandchild Miller Jensen; and his siblings, Linda Harings (Denny), Gary Freeman, Rod Freeman, Kevin Freeman and Carolynn Brenner. He is also survived by extended family, including in-laws, outlaws, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to any youth sports in Vern's honor.
