He was predeceased by: his mother Marilyn Olson (Borchert); and his sister Sandy Broker. He is survived by: his father David Olson; his daughters, Kalli Olson and Connie Olson; his grandchildren, Kailyn Olson and Annaliese Nystrom; and his siblings, Mike Olson (Amery), Ken Olson (Elk River), Kathy Langness (Hudson) and Deb Brantner. He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews.
