He was predeceased by: his parents, John Haefner and Laura Haefner; his wife Linda Lou Haefner; his daughter Lisa; and his brothers, Orville, Ted, Leroy, Elmer and John.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Jr. Wausau (Pammy), Rick Eagle River (Mika) and Jeffrey (Amy); his brother Eugene (Dixie); his grandchildren, Krystal (Matt), Rachel (Derek), Andrew and Ethan; and his great grandchildren, Jordan, Anders and Olivia.
