He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Long and Mary Long (Smith); his former life partner Elaine Halbach; his wife Lucille Uphill; his daughter Mary Brunette; his great grandchild Coty Bartels; his sister Doris Flaten Lemons; his sons-in-law, Brent Bartels and Allen Marcks; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Christopherson (Tom), Ted Flaten, Beldon Lemons and George Altendorf.
He is survived by : his children, Martha Bartels, Susan Long and Steven Long (Geri); and his stepdaughters, Sandra Thomas (Kenneth) and Patsy Jacobson (Bill). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
