He was predeceased by : his parents, Nicholas Frank and Veronica Mary Averkamp (Aurit); and his brother Paul. He is survived by : his wife Karen A. Schroeder; his children, Mark Averkamp (Sue) of Cuba City, WI and Kathy Wild (Jeremy) of Crandon, WI; his grandson Cole Wild; his stepgrandchildren, Corey Cullen and Nicole Smith (Brady); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Abby Cullen, Ellarie Smith, Alden Smith and Maxton Smith; and his siblings, Donald Averkamp (Carla) of Cuba City, WI, Rose Adams (Jerry) of Platteville, WI and Rita Rahe (Bob) of Dyersville, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of plants & flowers a Bernard J. Averkamp Memorial Fund has been established.
