We are sad to announce that on September 15, 2023, at the age of 89, Louis J. Berning of Cuba City, Wisconsin, born in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Berning and Bertha Berning (Pickel); his wife Rita Mae Hilby; his son Dennis M. Berning; his siblings, Harold Berning (Mary) and Harriet Portzen (Junior); and his brother-in-law Al Goerdt.
He is survived by : his daughters, Barb Temperly (Terry) of Platteville, WI, Karen Schultz (Mick) of Grand Mound, IA, Sharon Kaiser (Dale) of Cuba City, WI and JoAnn Roussel (Jay) of Durango, IA; his daughter-in-law Kathy Berning of Hazel Green, WI; and his sister Marion Goerdt of Clinton, IA.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a Louis J. "Louie" Berning Memorial Fund has been established.
