With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Mato LaBlanc (Cumberland, Wisconsin), who passed away on November 2, 2025 at the age of 50. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Gladys Bearheart and Ed Kingeagle Sr.; his aunts, Bonnie Bearheart and Becky Bearheart; and his uncle Ed Bearheart.
He is survived by: his parents, Barb LaBlanc and Tom LaBlanc; his children, Julia and Jackson; his stepfather Dino; his siblings, Wenona and Muzin; his sister-in-law Stacie; his siblings' children, Alex and Arya; his siblings, Matt, Chaske, Sonny, Rob and Isabella (Lyz); and his pet Mocha Kitty LaBlanc. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Maple Plain Community Center (247 25 3/4 Ave, Cumberland, WI 54829). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Over the past two decades, Pete's contributions to tribal tourism and economic development have been nothing short of transformative.
