He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Sams and Virginia Sams (Brown); his wife Carol Branton; his children, Rick and Teri Sams; his grandchild Marci Sams; his stepchildren, John and Dawn Branton; and his great grandchildren, James, Shelley Branton and Jason Branton. He was also cherished by 4 grandchildren.
