He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Leslie and Jeanette Rose Speiss (Jones); his sister Pam Murphy (Dan); his stepsister Pamela Nichols; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Ditzenberger and Phil Hanna.
He is survived by: his wife Dena Lee (Sowers); his stepfather Harold Leo Nichols; his daughters, Penny Paddock (John), Nickole Hanson (Matt) and Rickie Lee Wetzel (Allen); his grandchildren, Jake Jones, Sawyer Paddock, Holden Paddock, Teejay Hanson and Luke Paddock; his pet Dutchess; his siblings, Arda Hanna, Donella Keller (Ray) and Dennis Speiss (Terry); and his stepsiblings, Harold Nichols, Jr. and Helene Jones. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
