It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Gunderson of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, born in Valley City, North Dakota, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Hunchar and Lois Hunchar; her siblings, Bonnie Senn and Jim Hunchar; her parents-in-law, Arnold and Marie Gunderson; her son-in-law Gary Engen; her sister-in-law Nancy Ward (John); and her nephew John-Jon Ward.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Gunderson; her daughters, Melissa Engen (Todd Hoenisch) and Amy English (Todd); her brother Dennis Hunchar (Nora); her brothers-in-law, Greg Senn, Jim Gunderson (Joann), David Gunderson (Liz) and Daniel Gunderson; her grandchildren, Evan, Alexandra, Dylan and Payton; and her great grandchildren, Taylor, Raegan, Bennett, Otto, Mason and Hudson. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church (1120 Cedar St, Eau Claire, WI 54703). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Lakeview Cemetery (1500 Buffington Dr, Eau Claire, WI 54703).
