With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Gehrt of Embarrass, Wisconsin, born in Clintonville, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 10, 2020 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, August Schmidt and Emma Schmidt (Brandt); her siblings, Mabel Fehrman, Howard Schmidt, Harvey Schmidt, Hazel Krubsack, Leonard Schmidt and Agnes Buchert; and her nephews, Lyle and Alvin Fehrman.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Gehrt; her sons, Gene Gehrt (Jane) of Gold Canyon and Brad Gehrt (Diane) of Ripon; her grandchildren, Kristy Pryor (Phil), Jenny Payne (David) of Tennessee and Cory Gehrt (Morgan) of Appleton; her great grandchildren, Allie, Kelsey Payne, Zoe, Ava Pryor, Carter Woody and Lilly Gehrt; and her brother Willard Schmidt (Maggie) of Green Bay. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, Lois' funeral will be held privately for her family only, but the public is invited to attend her committal service at 10 AM on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Embarrass with Rev. Todd Jerabek officiating. Her family asks that you please wear a mask if attending the committal.
