He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis E. Gehrt and Mildred M. Gehrt (Balke). He is survived by: his siblings, Ronald Gehrt, Eileen Strauss (Neil) and Mary Stoffel (Steve); his siblings' children, Rick Strauss (Carolyn), Nicole Claffey (Mike) and Heather Kraus (Jeff); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Katie, Nash Strauss, Grant, Claudia Claffey, Jayden and Micah Kraus. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
