It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Eleanor Scannell of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 28, 2022, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Tonn and Katherine Schwind Tonn; her husband Stephen H. Scannell; her son Steve; her granddaughter Caitlin Scannell; and her siblings, Lawrence Tonn (Deloris), Margaret Guell (Ralph), Helen Searcy (Emit), Bernadine Lingenfelter (John), Katherine Willis (Bob) and George Tonn (Mary Ann).
She is survived by: her children, Maureen Paffenroth (Bill), Eileen Mirsberger (Jim), Ann Del Ponte (Pat) and Tim Scannell (Jelaine); and her grandchildren, James, Tom Scannell, Molly Naef (Ron), Sean Scannell (Stacey), Shanthi Henriksen (David), John Mirsberger (Safiyah), Paul Del Ponte, Leti Del Ponte, Maria Blaskowski (Blake), Ryan Scannell, Sheena Brieske (Nate) and Neil Scannell (Michelle). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a. m. to the time of Mass. The family requests that all visitors wear face masks to be respectful to those who are at high risk.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Father Mike Shea's Sarnelli House or Agnesian Healthcare Hospice.
