He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Ruhland and Almira Ruhland; and his siblings, Evan Ruhland, Glen Ruhland, Roger Ruhland, Ralph Ruhland and Alice Caldwell.

He is survived by: his siblings, Carol Jean Dwyer of Madison, Imelda Cotter (Bill) of Arlington, TX, Lester Ruhland of Reedsburg and Earl "Cubby" Ruhland (Mary Jane) of Janesville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
