We bid farewell to David Mark Schmidt of Fremont, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 3, 2025 at the age of 90. David Mark touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Schmidt and Hazel Schmidt (Prindle); his wife Mercedes Boushley; his brothers, Duane Schmidt and Carleton Schmidt; and his siblings-in-law, Greg, Reuben, Truman, Alfred, Roger Boushley, Jarv Mattes, Darlene, Sharon Schmidt, Ramona, Mae and Patricia Boushley.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Kelly (John) of Twinsburg, OH, Amy Nelson (Scott), Jeffrey Schmidt (Anne) of Chesterfield, MO and John Schmidt (Colleen) of Celebration, FL; his grandchildren, Christopher Kelly (Julie), Matthew Kelly (Maria), David Schmidt (Fiancée' Joy), Brett Schmidt, Spencer Schmidt (Fiancée' Shea), Erik Nelson and Lauren Nelson; his great grandchild Makai Kelly; his siblings, Glenn Schmidt, Rodney Schmidt and Nancy Jansen (Jim); and his sisters-in-law, Charidy Ann Schmidt, Peggy Schmidt and Marian Boushley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (9077 North Rd., Zittau, WI). A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial fund has been established for Immanuel Lutheran Church, Zittau.
