Mary Ellen Holz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Ellen Holz of Green Bay, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Early and Arleen Early; her husband Ward Holz; and her sisters, Patricia Lemke (Warren) and Suzanne McKee (Partrick).
She is survived by: her children, Debra Hibray (Dennis), Sue Pohlkamp (Mark), Lake Dubay, Karen Bender (Stuart), Steven Holz, Christine Jacques (Larry), Theresa Gideon (Marvin), Knoxville, Tenn, Kathleen Karnopp (Gordon), Green Bay, David Holz and Gretchen Bedore (Todd); and her grandchildren, Laurie Clayton (Adam), Bradley Hibray (Margaret), Erin Pohlkamp (Cory Giacoletto), Kyle Pohlkamp (Chloe Ciarrocchi), Joseph Holz (Kenna), Daniel Holz (Stacy), Benjamin Holz (Amanda), Nicholas Jacques, Phillip Jacques (Beth), Timothy Jacques (Elizabeth), Katie McDonald (Chris), Kelsey Baeten (Philip), Jennifer Dopkins (Nicholas), Ashley Holz, Jason Holz (Isabella), Jessica Van Gorden (Andrew) and Cassandra DeGreef (Dustin). She is also survived by her nine children and their spouses, 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (413 St John St, Green Bay, WI 54301). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Moments Hospice Foundation. Please consider donating to this wonderful organization that helped the family more than words can express in Mary Ellen's final days.
