He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John Schultz and Ruth Schultz (Falck); his wife Margaret Uecker; his children, Kathleen Marggraf (Bruce), Norma "Nick" Schultz (Bill Berry), Anita Schultz-Stachnik (Paul), Barbara Schultz-Becker (John Becker), Madison, Howard (Tamara), Morrison, Dr. Mary Schultz (Phil Johnsrud), Iola, Janet Behm (Todd), Linda Carter (Jay), Nancy Schultz and Port of Washington; and his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Loppnow and Alice Uecker. He was also cherished by 30 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his name.
