He is survived by : his wife Ruth (Ver Hagen); his children, Patti Bowers, Liz Martin (John), Mark (Andrea), Jeff and Nancy Portman; his grandchildren, Joanne Bowers, Jeremy, Kristy and Christina Portman; his great grandchildren, Aiden and Wyatt; his sister Marlene Coenen (Jim); his brother-in-law Bill Ver Hagen (Carol); his sisters, Carol De Bruin, Joan Voet, Reetz Buechel, Tom Kalupa, Bonnie Van Zeeland and Patti Van Zeeland; his children-in-law, Colleen Theunis and Robert Portman; and his brother-in-law Jerry Deering. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
