He was predeceased by : his wife Barbara; his parents, Ryan Belstra and Wilhelmina Belstra (VanderBoom); and his siblings, Jean Heyboer, Ray Belstra and Howard Belstra.

He is survived by : his children, Debra Bunnell, Bob Bunnell, Ryan Belstra, Donna Belstra, Doug Belstra and Lori Belstra; and his sister Dorothy Wakefield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
