He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Kemerling and Elnora Kemerling (Lamb); and his sisters, Phyllis Brunswig and Beverly Patton. He is survived by: his former spouse Marvella DeFoer; his wife Mildred Tucker; his children, Laurie Peterson (Greg) of Heyworth, IL, Kevin Kemerling (Kim Poppe) of Haugen and Michelle Kemerling of Milan, IL; his grandchildren, Josh Kemerling (Jessica), Brian Girdler (Brynn), Kristi Selucky (Don), Aden Delacruzham, Ian Peterson (Jessica) and Terri Kopp; his great grandchildren, Carsen, Kaelyn, Kerrigan, Caydence Kemerling, Jacob, Madelyn Girdler, Kylie, Emma, Mya Selucky, Sophie, Amelia Peterson, Natalie and Alyssa Kopp; and his brother-in-law Ray Brunswig.
Due to COVID-19, there will be a private celebration of life held at a later date.
