He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Helen Bortz (Davis); his wife Darlene Bortz of Hewitt; his children, Judith Jackson (Daniel) of Oakdale, MN, Daniel Bortz of Berrien Springs, MI and Jennifer Wilson of Plover; his stepchildren, Christopher Barkes of Maplewood, MN and Nichole Frisch (Scott) of Green Bay; his grandchildren, Rodney, Charlotte, Angie, Hannah, Chris, Mason, Samantha, Clover, Charlie, Alexandrea and Josh; his great grandchildren, James and Leo; his stepgrandchildren, Jacob, Addison, Caleb, Braiden and Isabelle; his sister Alice Fromm of Hamburg; and his pet Ernie. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
