He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Budtke and Verna Budtke Kroening (Petri); his stepfather Melvin Kroening; his parents-in-law, Richard and Mildred Baird; his brother Donald Budtke Sr.; and his siblings-in-law, Arnold Meyer, Dennis Baird and Nancy Wunrow.
He is survived by: his wife Jerilyn Budtke (Baird); his children, Tammy Haffenbredl (Ronald), Janine Steinke (Jeffrey), Julianne Elsen (Robert), Amy Peterson (David) and Benjamin Budtke (Erika); his grandchildren, Mindy, KayLee, Carissa, Justin, Jessica, Laura, Alison, Kathryn, Alyssa, Aden, Araya, Anna, Emily, James, Clara, Waylon, Ellie, Charlie, Hank and Millie; his great grandchildren, Javessa, Korbin, Ronan, Renly, Sully, Ruby, Brielle, Taylor, Kaiyana, Amoni and Jayden; his sister June Meyer; his stepsister Denise Kann (Perry); and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Budtke, Bonnie Holzbauer (John), Donald Wunrow, Gary Baird and Douglas Baird (Jan). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hewitt.
