He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Poehnelt and Anna Poehnelt (Ramskugler); his former wife Dorothy Glenn; and his children, Ronald, David, Richard and Julie (David Schindhelm).
He is survived by: his former wife Shirly Retzlaff; and his children, Tom (Diane), Donald (Jackie), Mike, Mark, Jim, Karen Ludwig (Lance), Sandy Jakel (Mike), Sharon Blume (Henry), Linda Bach (Steven) and Donna Kalepp (Kevin). He is also survived by many Grandchildren and Great Grand Children, also many nieces and nephews and other family members.
