It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald L Korpela of Hortonville, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 11, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Korpela and Ingrid Korpela (Kuula). He is survived by: his wife Ardythe Kangas; his children, Brett Korpela (Pam) and Brenda Krueger (Tim); his grandchildren, Shannon Menard (Chris), Patrick Korpela (Amber), Kaila Griebenow (Neil), Sarah Winter (Tim), Nicole TenHaken, Dr. Adam Krueger, Megan Breuch (Nick) and Mitchell Krueger; his brother Larry Korpela (Jean); his sister-in-law Judy Rawluszk; and his great grandchildren, Lydia, Rowan, Leo, Sterling, Gemmalee, Annela and Nicholas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hills Lutheran Church (N1615 Meadowview Dr, Greenville, WI 54942). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Jerry's name at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church to continue to support the streaming of church services.
