She was predeceased by : her parents, Elon Johnson and Anna Johnson (Kukuska); her husband Richard; her son Stephen O'Brien; and her siblings, Ethel Jones and Robert Johnson.

She is survived by : her children, Kelly Gillis (Jim), Julie Widgren (Tom), Jane Worrell and Linda Rice (Randy); her grandchildren, Nicholas Gillis, Jennifer Clancy (Matt), Matthew Widgren (Juliane), Jacob Widgren (Marisa), Kaylene Widgren, Sara Olson (Tyler), Emily Worrell, Rebecca Haegele (Jake) and Adam Rice; and her sister Helen Houman. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
