He was predeceased by: his parents, Eben Hanson and Loretta Hanson (Grovogel); his wife Judy Vogel; his granddaughter Rachel; his daughter-in-law Lorie; and his siblings, Eben Hanson, Jr., Robert Hanson, Larry Hanson, Jim Hanson, Caral Nelson, Jean Widder, Helen Abrahamson, Florence MeLichar and Peggy Carlton Kuehn.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Hanson, Jr., Victoria Sathre (Steve), Greg Hanson (Lynda) and Nicole Powers (Mike); his grandchildren, Jon Hanson (Alex), Travis Hanson, Brandon Hanson (Alycia), Stephen Sathre (Tif Carter), Samantha Sathre (Edgar Rodriguez), Brad Hanson (Briana) and Jasmine DeLap; his brother William Hanson (Virginia); and his sisters-in-law, Aggie Hanson, Fuzzie Hanson and Maryann Langer. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
