He was predeceased by: his parents, Gottfried Waelchli and Johanna Waelchli (Wiedmer); his son Richard; his granddaughter Stephanie; and his siblings, William, John, Rose Jaeger, Mary Waelchli and Johanna Stuckey.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Waelchli of Janesville; his children, James Waelchli (Mary) of Kronenwetter, WI, David Waelchli (Linda) of Janesville and Mary Jo Waelchli (Andrew Leu) of Mclean, VA; his daughter-in-law Melanie Waelchli; his grandchildren, Sara, Jennifer, Jamie, Christopher, Robert, Genevieve and Joseph; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Calli, Landon, Ole, Emma and August; and his sisters-in-law, Gertrude Waelchli of Monticello and Marjorie Waelchli of Monroe.
