He was predeceased by: his parents, Orthell W. Symons (Art) and Norma M. Symons (Smythe); his brother Gary Symons; his sibling's children, Judy Miller and Doug Symons; and his friend Jim Cruse.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Symons; his children, Elaine Symons (Ron Brown) and Brian Symons (Ally); his grandchildren, Erin Williams (Paul), Stephanie Lukas, Alex Thiesfeld-Symons, Justin Lukas, Wyatt Symons and Bernadette Symons; his great grandchildren, Franklin Williams, Amelia Lukas-Schmidt and Eloise Williams; his brother Ted Symons (Donna); his sister-in-law Lois Symons; and his mother-in-law Jean Wisby. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
