He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Ambrose and Gertrude Ambrose (Volkman); his wife Helen; his daughter Kathy Slater; his sister Joanne Schlichtholz; and his pet Sam.
He is survived by: his daughter Teri Hansen; his son-in-law Wayne Hansen of Janesville; his son Thomas Thompson of Marietta, OH; his son-in-law Wes Slater of Janesville; his grandchildren, Amy Santas (Aaron), Jenny Hansen, Levi Thompson (Erin), Chelsea Thompson and Ivy Carr; his great grandchildren, Sadie, Shelby, Audrey, Mya, Calvin and Quin; and his close friend Carolyn Seekamp.
