He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rast and Susan Rast; his wife Joyce; his son Ronald Rast; his grandson Mitch Terhar; his sister Lorraine Freeman; and his brothers-in-law, Arvid, James, Dale and Verl Cleasby.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Schaff (Charles) of Janesville and Steven Rast of Eau Claire; his grandchildren, William Kettle, Cody Rast, Steve Rast Jr. and Kristianna Rast; his great grandchildren, Lucas Kettle, Madelyn and Brooklyn Volkey; his sister Arleen Jeske; and his brothers-in-law, LaVern, LeRoy and Gary Cleasby. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
