She was predeceased by : her parents, Ivan H. Smout and Anita Smout (Hoffschmidt); her son Gary Lee Albers; and her pets, Heidi, Marty, Murphy, Hannah and Sophie.

She is survived by : her husband Gerald "Jerry" Albers; her children, Vicki Cottam (Charlie), Rick Albers (Jill) and James Albers (Lisa); her grandchildren, Tara Skaife (Brian), Kirsten Cottam, Josh Albers, Claire Falkenthal (Wade) and Ashlyn Albers; her great grandchildren, Gus Skaife and Del Falkenthal; and her brother Neal Smout (Karen). She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Schneider Funeral Directors (1800 E Racine St, Janesville, WI 53547). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
