He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis Berner and Josephine Berner (Honisch); and his parents-in-law, Marilyn and Roland Johnson. He is survived by : his wife Carol Berner (Johnson); his sister Patricia Grimm (Chuck); his nieces and nephews, Eric Grimm (Emily) and Erin Grimm; his sisters-in-law, Linda Swengel (Dave) and Nancy Anderson (Rex); his nieces and nephews, Christy Johanson (Dave), Mike Swengel (Aly), John Swengel (Breanna), Julie Kolb (Neal) and Laura Anderson (Dave); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Olivia, Logan, Liam, Emma, June, Frank, Hunter, Lydia, Eric, Adeline, Amelia, Ava, Jack and Gus. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Nativity of Mary School.
