He was predeceased by: his brother Bradley Schimke. He is survived by: his parents, Michael J. Schimke and Susan E. Schimke (Tschanz); his wife Jeannette'Nettie'Schimke; his children, Nora, Greyson, Everly, Stella, Vivian and Agnes; his sister Amber Walkey (Mark); his in-laws, P. Michael and Frances Hanus; his grandmother Evelyn Tschanz; Mike Hanus (Julie), Paul Hanus (Heidi), Tony Hanus (Sally), Becky Phillips (Troy), John Hanus (Karin), Elizabeth Bergeron (Phil), Bob Hanus (Lindsey), Jim Hanus (Domini), Joe Hanus (Elisa), Debbie Hahn (Carl), Dave Hanus, Katie Hanson (Matt) and Brianna Schwenkner (Justin). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Nativity of Mary Catholic Church (313 E Wall St, Janesville, WI 53545).
