He is survived by: his wife Nancy Manthey; his sister Joan Byrne-Cavitch of Boston, MA; his children, Brian Byrne (Kimberlee) of Geneva, IL, Lorrie Nickerson of Monona, Daniel Byrne (Kimberly) of Janesville and Lisa Trewyn (Jared) of Woodstock, IL; his grandchildren, Dr. Melissa Byrne, Andrew Fillipp (Katelyn), Matthew Byrne (Meghan), Tyler Fillipp (Katy), Megan Garcia (Luis), Brianne Nickerson (Jason Lublinkhof), Kyle Nickerson, Zachary Nickerson, Madelyn Byrne, Seth Trewyn and Luke Trewyn; his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Violet, Lucas Fillipp, Lexi Lublinkhof, Hudson, Myles Byrne and Brixon Fillipp; and his parents-in-law, Larry Kisting, Richard, Judith DeRosier and Connie Lambert. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
