He was predeceased by : his parents, Milton Best and Josephine Best (Dubcek); and his sister Barbara Faye Best. He is survived by : his wife Ginger (Ginger); his sons, James Clay Best, Aaron Patrick Best (Becky) and Peter Luke Best (Holly); his grandchildren, Megan, Lauren, Nathaniel, Matthew, Caius, Noah and Oliver Best; and his sister-in-law Susan Cox (late Douglas).

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary Magdalene Church (242 Williams St, Johnson Creek, WI 53038). A burial was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery (N6243 Jefferson Rd, Johnson Creek, WI 53038).
