He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Tavie Braunschweig of Texas; his parents, Martin and Alice; his stepmother Adeline; his son Brian Braunschweig; his brother David Braunschweig; and his siblings-in-law, Katie Braunschweig, Richard Fischer, Ray Schicker and Ronald Gordon.

He is survived by: his grandsons, Zach and Sam; his wife Marlene of Jefferson; his son Brad (Rebecca) of Jackson; his grandsons, Zachary and Samuel of Jackson, WI.; and his sisters, Joyce Fischer, Carol Schicker of Jefferson and Nancy Gordon of Waukesha. He is also survived by nieces nephews and many friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John's evangelical Lutheran Church, Rainbow Hospice or a charity of donor choice.
