He is survived by: his children, Gloria Goehl of Lexington, TX, Shirley Strong (Rick) of Appleton, Eugene Schmitt (Susan) of Appleton, Elaine Van Daalwyk (Roger) of Kaukauna and Edward Schmitt of Kaukauna; and his brother Richard Schmitt (Barbara) of Osprey, Fla.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
