She was predeceased by : her husband Stan; and her parents, Robert Schmit and Margaret Schmit. She is survived by : her children, Bryan, Toni of Neenah, WI, Leah (Peterson), David of Eau Claire, WI, Andrea (Berger) and Jerome of Longmont, CO.; her grandchildren, Jarett Peterson, Conlan Berger, Shiloh Berger, Josh Peterson, Jasilyn Griesbach and Jayden Griesbach; and her siblings, Sherry Coenen, Bob Schmit (Sandy) and Cathy Miller (Tim).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations that will be sent to Alzheimer's Association established in her name.
