She was predeceased by: her daughter Phyllis Genske; her children-in-law, John Ashauer, Ronald Genske and Janet Josie; her siblings, Lenora Braden (Merlin) of Lewiston and Clayton Peterson of Lewiston; her parent-in-law Chris Josie (Madeline); her brother Orb Josie (Leona); her sister-in-law John August; her former husband Samuel G. Thompson; and also, Marjorie Zick (Raymond) and Alice Harris (Forest).
She is survived by: her children, VerLea Doro (Robert) of Appleton, Ione Ashauer of Kaukauna, Loretta Jansen (Joseph), West Palm, Shirley Baken (Jeff) of Rogers and Vernon Josie (Joyce); her sister-in-law Jackie Peterson of Lewiston; her grandchildren, Diane Pfister (Donald) of New Holstein, Ronald Genske (Michelle), Deborah Genske of Green Bay, Deanna Genske of Manitowoc, Cindy Zick (James) of Weyauwega, Kim Larsen (Jon) of Appleton, Anthony Ashauer (Kelly) of Kaukauna, Mark Ashauer (Kay) of Kaukauna, Ann Heilman (William) of Kaukauna, Denise August of Green Acres, Amy Balassonne (Robert) of Boynton Beach, Patty Fuerst (Matt) of North Pole, Angie Josie of Richmond, Ryan Josie (Jean) of Appleton, Corey Josie of Waupaca, Erin Youngblood (Josh) of Black Earth, Mason Josie of Beaver Dam, Jeremy Baken of Elk River and Matthew Baken of Rogers; and her stepgrandchildren, Deborah VanRens (Greg Olson) of Green Bay, Greg Doro (Donna), Cedarburg Pick, Roberta Pick (Dale) and Green Bay. She is also survived by 32 great grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandsons, 2 step great-great grandsons and 2 step great-great granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made payable to Peace United Methodist Church where a memorial has been established in her name.
