With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John L. Schancer of Kennan, Wisconsin, who passed away on June 21, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clement Russell and Anna Maria Schancer (Erdman); and his siblings-in-law, Tom Balsis, Agnes Shancer and Judy Whittenberger.

He is survived by: his wife Susan; his daughter Laurie Hanson (Darren) of Iron River, WI; his grandson Andrew; his siblings, Lois Vojtech (Bob) of Blaine, MN, Lyndon Schancer of Hawkins, WI, Alan Schancer (Teresa) of Hayward, WI and Alice Balsis of Post Falls, ID; and his brother-in-law Russ Whittenberger of Holcombe, WI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
