He was predeceased by : his parents, Carolina Harsh (Bartaloti) and John Sr. Harsh; his wife Peggy J. Harsh; his son James M. Harsh; his grandson Daniel J. Harsh; his stepsiblings, Carl Terek, Steve Terek and Mary Terek-Farkas; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Riviere and Eugene Thompson.
He is survived by : his sons, Michael J. Harsh (Sandy) of Wales, WI and Kenneth A. Harsh (Susan) of Sussex, WI; his grandchildren, April Molitor, Jennifer A. Mack (Brian) and Jonathan M. Harsh; his great grandchildren, Breckin A. Strand and Nolan E. Strand; and his sisters, Caroline Riviere (Bruce Robrahn) and Elizabeth Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
