He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolf Voigt and Lucille Voigt (Moldenhauer); his parents-in-law, Fred and Agnes Jahnke; and his siblings, Doris Rehorst and Robert Voigt.
He is survived by: his wife Marge; his children, Jason Voigt (Alyssa Royster), Lisa Voigt (Pedro Pereira) and Megan Shvartsman (Dan Shvartsman); his grandchildren, Hannah Shvartsman (Brock Romanoski), Isaac Shvartsman, Rebecca Shvartsman, Benvindo Pereira and Wilder Voigt; and his sisters, Nancy Machnik (Dennis) and Gloria Hetzel (David). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
