He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Engen and Pearl Engen (Settingsgaard); and his siblings, Janice Holden and Lloyd Engen. He is survived by : his wife Janice Olson; his sons, Gregory (Cathy) and Keith (Judith); his grandchildren, Kevin Engen (Heather), Amanda Lindell (Josh), Jennifer (Wayne Ellefson Jr.), DeAnna Engen and Danni Engen; and his brother Ronald Engen (Pat). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred to Gundersen Health System Hospice Program or the Gundersen Health System Oncology Department, both in La Crosse.
