She was predeceased by: her parents, George Chappell and Ruth Chappell (Kamoss); her husband Ron; her grandchild Morgan Novey; her parents-in-law, Alene Novey and George Novey; her sister Jean Peterson; and her sister-in-law Donna Novey.

She is survived by: her son Mike (Laura); her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jenny and Adam Novey; her brother Gary Chappell (Mary); her brothers-in-law, Gary Peterson and Melvin Novey; her sibling's children, Jon Peterson (Kelly), Josh Chappell (Stephanie), Chris Chappell (Claire) and Laura Chappell (Mike Henkes); her great-nieces, Paige Carey (Justin), Brooklyn Henkes, Gracelyn Chappell and Virginia Chappell; her great-nephew George Chappell; Jack and Bowen Carey.
