She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Marie Bekkum (Larson) and Otis Bekkum; her husband Cyrus; her daughter Kathleen J. Buckholtz (Bakkestuen); her siblings, Leona M. Haakenson, Wallace Bekkum and Kenneth; her siblings-in-law, Irene Midtlien, Leonard Midtlien, Jerome Bakkestuen and Myron Haakenson; and her siblings' children, Lisa Midtlien, Loretta Betz (Midtlien), Lorie Bekkum and Greg Midtlien.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl L. Bakkestuen of Wyoming, IA and Mark A. Bakkestuen of Westby; her stepgranddaughter Lauren Waugh of Kannapolis, NC; her sons-in-law, Harlan Waugh of Wyoming, IA and Willard "Will" Buckholtz of La Crosse; and her sisters-in-law, Vivian Jacobson, Norma Bekkum and Audrey Bakkestuen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
