He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Sullivan and Rosina Sullivan; and his brothers, James and William. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Gene Sullivan; his siblings, Dorothy Sagen of La Crosse and Dan (Barb) of Onalaska; his children, Rick, Teri Lynn and Daniel of Minneapolis; his grandchildren, Nicolas Sullivan of Onalaska, Briem Meinertz of French Island, Sean Kiebzak of Milwaukee, Brittney Magouirk and Sascha Sullivan of Austin, TX; and his great grandchildren, Reilly, Brock (Nicolas Sullivan), Aidan, Connal, Raelin, Saoirse (Briem Meinertz), Finn (Brittney Magouirk), Luke, Bailey, Maddax and Kurt.
