He was predeceased by : his father Leon Deem; his parents-in-law, Daniel and Georgia Miller; his siblings-in-law, Danny Miller and Connie Kolodziej; and his grandson Daniel Ponton.

He is survived by : his mother Carol Deem (Brouillette); his wife Theressa Miller; his pet Delilah "Monkey" Deem; his siblings, Chris Deem (Diana), Leann Smith (Preston) and Pete Deem; his children, Wendy Kerscher (TJ), Dennis Ponton Jr. (Carissa), Brian Ponton (Holly) and Rocky Ponton; his grandchildren, Bradley Ponton (Kristia), Kayla Ponton, TJ Kerscher, Bubba Ponton (Taylor), Michael Kerscher (McKenna), James Ponton, Joe Ponton, Hannah Ponton, Hailey Ponton, Danica Goldsworthy, Quinn Ponton and Everly Ponton; and his great grandchildren, Marlee Ponton, Ali Ponton, Rainn Ponton and Aubree Ponton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
