He was predeceased by : his parents, Theodore Lankvelt and Henrietta Van Lankvelt (Pennings); his siblings, Wilbur Van Lankvelt (Eleanore), Delores Schmidt (Wally), Harvey Van Lankvelt (Mildred), Jerome Van Lankvelt, Joan Landerman (Bill), Roger Van Lankvelt, Carol Diedrich (Ron) and Sharon Stumpf (Andy); and his parents-in-law, Shirley Van Lankvelt (Phil), Richard Sanderfoot (Ruby) and Robert Sanderfoot.

He is survived by : his wife Audrey Sanderfoot; his children, Joe Van Lankvelt, Steve Van Lankvelt (Sheila), Kristy Hipp (Mickie) and Karla Smith (Lance); his grandchildren, Austin, Dillon Van Lankvelt, Amanda Van Lankvelt (Bob Barron), Katelyn Van Lankvelt, KyLey, MicKayla Hipp, Nathan, Elise and Erja Smith; his brother Larry Van Lankvelt (Carol); and his sister-in-law CuCa Van Lankvelt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
