He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Burgeous and Edna Muriel "Mert" Hayes (Wood); and his siblings, Patrick Hayes and Melissa Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Diana Lynn Cassatt of Loyal; his sons, Samuel Hayes (Jackie) of Dorchester, WI and Stewart Hayes of Madison, WI; his grandchildren, Sierra Olson (Jake), Samantha Hayes (Kyle Roth), Emily Hayes, Tucker Hayes and Alexis Hayes; and his great grandchild Jameson John Olson. He is also survived by 5 nieces; 7 nephews; other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the Loyal Public Library in Mike's name.
