He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schultz and Cora Rosella Schultz (Olson); his sisters, Inez Sipple (Don) and Barbara Olson (Ralph); and his nephew Nathan Olson.

He is survived by: his wife Guadalupe (Osorio Melendes); his stepson Juan Jimenez; and his brothers-in-law, Don Sipple (Inez) of Menomonie, WI and Ralph Olson (Barbara). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
